Dog Friendly Hotel in Perthshire

We're an award-winning, family run hotel located in the heart of Perthshire in Scotland. As dog-owners ourselves, we're keenly aware that there are few places that you can go and stay overnight or dine with your dog. With that in mind, we're keen to welcome other dog owners and their dogs to our hotel. For our restaurant, well-behaved dogs are welcome during dinner service. For our overnight hotel guests, you are welcome to have your dog(s) in your room.

We're in the Top 10 Pet Friendly Hotels in Scotland

Pet friendly hotel in Perthshire hotel - Bankfoot Inn We were recently nominated and placed in the Top Ten "Pet Friendly Hotels in Scotland" (Sept. 2016 article here: Bankfoot Inn Gets Paws Up By Dog Owners In National Survey).

Lots of walks

There are many local walks for you and your dog, ranging from 20 minutes to 3 hours. Ask our bar staff for the best ideas for dog walks, but our personal favourites are the "Millenium Walk" for a quick 30 minutes, or a trek through Glen Garr to Dunkeld (followed by a quick "refreshment" and then catch the bus back), takes about 3 hours. The Hermitage is also highly popular with dog walkers and is a joy to walk amongst the biggest trees in the country, great in all seasons.

Home cooked food and blazing fires

Dog & Pet friendly hotel in Perthshire hotel - Bankfoot Inn We pride ourselves on serving home cooked food, using local produce when possible. We're listed in the CAMRA "Good Beer Guide" and always have a selection of tasty real ales on offer. If you're here on a Wednesday, stay and enjoy our weekly acoustic sessions, they happen after dinner every Wednesday (and you're welcome to join in!).

Pub Dogs

We have two black labradors, "Otis" and "Ruadh" - they'll make you feel welcome. When they're not looking for your attention, they are laid out in front of the fire. We also have "Kasha" the cat, usually to be found curled up on a cushion in the lounge bar.
