Welcome to the Bankfoot Inn, a traditional, family-run, 18th century Scottish Inn surrounded by rolling hills and farming country, set in the heart of rural Perthshire.
We are located in the scenic village of Bankfoot, just south of Dunkeld. Perth Concert Hall is just a few minutes drive from our door. We're ideally placed as a base for weekends, short breaks and longer stays, allowing you a convenient base to spend your time exploring all our country has to offer.
Our village is only 45 miles from both Glasgow and Edinburgh airports. We are close to Perth and the towns of Kenmore, Aberfeldy, Pitlochry, Blair Atholl and Killin. For those visitors keen on sampling Scotlands malt whiskies, the famous Speyside region with its many renowned distilleries is a short drive from our door.
A little further driving will get you to Stirling, Inverness, Glencoe and many more historic locations.
The Bankfoot Inn is a former coaching inn dating from the late 1700's. It's location on the old road to the highlands meant it served as a resting place for weary travellers and offered stabling where coachmen could rest their horses. We've spent the last couple of years lovingly restoring the inn back to its former glory.
Accommodation is spread across six comfortable rooms. Downstairs, we have both public bar, lounge bar and adjoining restaurant. The Bankfoot Inn offers a great atmosphere set in a real Scottish country inn serving great food. Wew are are a dog friendly inn and
Our lounge bar and restaurant offer a traditional and comfortable environment complete with open fires, the ideal place to sample one of our many single malt whiskies. We are also enthusiastic about serving quality cask ale from Scotlands many micro breweries (and further afield).
We host live music at the end of each month and there are weekly folk sessions every Wednesday evening. These are open for anyone to join in.
The inn is open all year round. We cater for all interests and welcome golfers, fishers, shooters, hikers, bikers and cyclists. Dog owners are welcome to bring their dogs too. We welcome tourists and families from all over the world and can arrange for you to be collected at your airport when you arrive in Scotland.
If there is anything we can help you with in planning your stay with us, please feel free to contact us as we're here to help.
We hope to see you soon, best wishes for 2012 from the team at the Bankfoot Inn.
