Traditional 18th century coaching inn located off the A9 (the main road to the Highlands) in the scenic village of Bankfoot, right in the heart of Perthshire. We are located just south of Dunkeld and ideally placed as a base for weekends, short breaks and longer stays.
We have both public bar and lounge bar with adjoining restaurant. Accommodation is spread across six comfortable rooms. The Bankfoot Inn offers a great atmosphere set in a real Scottish country inn along with great food, prepared by our chef.
Our lounge bar and restaurant have recently been refurbished and offer a traditional and comfortable atmosphere complete with open fires, the ideal place to sample our ever-growing collection of single malts. We are also pleased to offer a range of real ales from various Scottish breweries.
Salmon Fishing
The Bankfoot Inn is very close to the River Tay (we're only 1 mile from Stanley). Popular for fly fishing, the famous salmon beats of Catholes, Luncarty, Stanley and Murthly are only a few minutes from our door. We cater for fishing parties and have facilities to freeze caught salmon and provide locked storage for assembled rods.
Shooting parties
Whether it's grouse you're after or winter geese, we cater for all shooting parties.
We're in an ideal position for any groups wishing to enjoy the Glorious Twelfth.
Birds can be stored in our outbuildings.
Cyclists
We're on Route 77 and offer overnight accommodation for cyclists. We can provide secure storage for bikes and equipment. Laundry and drying facilities are available. We're close to Pitlochry and can cater for groups interested in the Etape Caledonia event.
Venue hire
The restaurant and lounge bar can be hired for private functions.
